This parking area is your doorway to the Harthope Valley. From here you can visit Cold Law, Hedgehope Hill, Broadhope Hill, Preston Hill and up on to the Cheviot. There are also all the crags on the banks of Hedgehope to explore. There is no access west beyond this point and the road can be narrow and slippy in wet weather.

Parking at the Mounthooly Bunkhouse is right at the south end of the College Valley, but you will need a day pass to park here. This is perfect for heading up the Hen Hole, visiting Auchorpe Cairn, The Cheviot and The Schill.
