Bagging Longknowe Hill in the Cheviots will have you rocketing up the Cheviot 99 league table as right next to it is Longknowe Hill NE Top and then Kilham Hill all in a line. So you get three quick hill baggings.
Another bonus is that right at the top of the hill is the Longknowe Hill Trig Point, so if you are are looking to bag all 168 trig points in Northumberland, then you can tick this one off too.
Quickest way to the top is to park at Hethpool, head up White Hill and then keep heading west to the tree line at the bottom of Haddon Hill. Then head north towards Longknowe Hill.
